Container terminal in Kalundborg has the lowest CO2 emissions

There has been a lot of debate in the media recently about CO2 emissions from container transport. Specifically, the debate has revolved around which Zealand container port has the lowest CO2 emissions and thus the smallest climate footprint.

The Port of Kalundborg has therefore commissioned Hans Otto Kristensen, Consulting Naval Architect, to calculate the CO2 emissions for container transport using the following calculation tools:

As can be seen from the report, there are savings in CO2 emissions in kg per TEU when using the Port of Kalundborg for almost all destinations on Zealand. Read the report via the link here:
