Laying up of ships in the Port of Kalundborg can only take place with prior permission from the Port of Kalundborg, cf. Section 14 of the Executive Order on Standard Regulations for Maintaining Order in Danish Commercial Ports.

Please note that the processing of the application may take up to 5 business days, and that no vessel may be abandoned or laid up before the application has been approved by the Port of Kalundborg. The applicant gives the Port of Kalundborg permission to store the information until the ship departs Kalundborg. The information is deleted after invoicing has been completed or immediately upon rejection of the application.

Abandoned or abandoned ships

§ 14. Laying up of a ship in the port may only take place in accordance with the prior permission of the port authority. Such permission will, where applicable, contain the necessary practical instructions, conditions regarding financial security, compliance with given deadlines, supervision obligations, etc.

Subsection 2. A ship that is not in service, including a decommissioned ship, a boat, a barge, a drilling rig and other equipment and goods, may not be left or moored in the port area or in the shipping lane without the express permission of the port authority.

Subsection 3. A laid-up or abandoned ship may not be used as a warehouse, tank storage, residence, restaurant or the like without permission from the port authority.

Subsection 4. A laid-up or abandoned ship or equipment is in all respects at the owner's expense and risk and may be required to be removed in accordance with Section 16.
