Kalundborg Port will have new regulations on December 4th

New regulations will come into force for Kalundborg Port and Kalundborg Asnæs Port (Ny Vesthavn) on 4 December 2024. The regulations have been updated with correct sea boundaries and master data, so users can see where the regulations apply.

Since the Kalundborg Port Regulations came into force on December 1, 2014, the port's lake area has been under development with the sale of the old Vesthavn in 2016 to Kalundborg Municipality and the construction of the New Vesthavn in 2019.

Therefore, there has been a need to update the port's regulations to reflect the port's activities and territory. At the same time, some of the port's master data has been updated to provide correct information about the port.

One of the most significant changes in the new regulations is the clarification of the Port of Kalundborg's sea area. This means that port users can now see more clearly which areas are covered by the port's area of responsibility and guidelines, and where the regulations specifically apply.

The updated regulations also include new master data and updated information about the Port of Kalundborg and its facilities, so that these are correct.

Since Kalundborg Fjord Ports includes five different port areas, it is crucial to have updated regulations and precise maritime boundaries between Kalundborg Port, Kalundborg Asnæs Port (Ny Vesthavn), Asnæsværket's port (Ørsted's unloading quay), Kalundborg Municipality and Kalundborg Refinery's quay.

It is the Danish Transport Authority that sets individual rules of procedure, and the process for the updated rules of procedure has, in addition to the Port of Kalundborg and the Danish Transport Authority, also included the Geodata Agency, the Danish Maritime Authority, Kalundborg Refinery, Inter Terminals, Ørsted and Kalundborg Municipality.
