He has worked in the offshore industry, where he has particularly worked on ROV support vessels. ROV stands for Remotely Operated Vehicle and is a type of unmanned robot that can be lowered to the bottom of the sea. Christian has been involved in many exciting tasks, but it is worth mentioning that he has been involved in munitions clearance in the Baltic Sea, where the task was to find unexploded objects from World War II. This happened in connection with the construction of the Nordstream 2 gas pipeline.
Now, however, Christian has decided to go ashore – but still attached to blue Denmark – to have more time for his family, which includes a son who is only one year old and a daughter who is 10 years old. Fortunately for us, his choice fell on a job here at the port office. Here, he will coordinate the many different tasks associated with ship calls in close collaboration with the other port assistants.
The Port of Kalundborg looks forward to the collaboration.
