The Port of Kalundborg has launched an updated visual identity with a new website, all of which is intended to reflect the port's development as a sustainable, internationally oriented and professional commercial port.
With stronger visual tools, improved digital accessibility and a modern expression, the port wants to invite customers, partners and local citizens closer to the journey that the company is currently on.
"We are proud to present a new visual identity and website. We wanted an expression that not only signals renewal, but also shows our ambitions as a modern and responsible commercial port. The identity is both a tribute to our roots and a clear marker for the sustainable and international port we are in the process of realizing," says Port Director Bent Rasmussen.
A modern look with roots in history
The new identity has been developed based on Kalundborg Port's strategic focus on green transition, digital professionalization and future-proof port operations. The expression is simple, clear and internationally applicable, but with strong roots in Kalundborg.
A central element in the visual update is the updated logo, which continues the port's local anchoring symbolized by the iconic five towers of the Church of Our Lady, while the maritime profile has been made clearer with a wave.
"The port's logo has remained unchanged for over 30 years. With the design, we want to honor the port's history, while updating the expression in a more modern direction. It reflects both where we come from and where we are going," says port director Bent Rasmussen.
The color palette has also been updated to stand out on screen and in print: The classic deep sea blue maintains the port's maritime foundation, while a new neon green marks the port's sustainable course. The color is also inspired by low-water areas where new life and change arise: a symbol of the port's transformation and progress.
"We wanted a visual identity that matches the profile of Kalundborg Port in 2025. A port that is both modern and international, but also deeply rooted in the local community. The new identity conveys precisely that balance," says Jesper Wienmann Hansen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalundborg Port.
New website with a focus on the user
Along with the visual update, Kalundborg Port is launching a new and up-to-date website. The website has been developed with a focus on user-friendliness, simple navigation and quick access to information for both professional players and interested citizens.
With the new visual identity and digital platform, the Port of Kalundborg invites the outside world to join it on the journey towards a future-proof and responsible port, where local anchoring meets global development, and where innovation, sustainability and business acumen go hand in hand.
