Green shipping, motorway and much more for debate at Kalundborg Port

On Monday afternoon, Kalundborg Port hosted a debate meeting, where Minister for Immigration and Integration Kaare Dybvad Bek (Social Democracy) and member of parliament Jacob Jensen (Left) met for a lively debate about the challenges facing the business community in Kalundborg.

The meeting was arranged in collaboration with the Kalundborg Region Business Council, and the Kalundborg Port meeting room was filled with representatives of companies in the Kalundborg region.

Port Director Bent Rasmussen started by presenting the Port of Kalundborg as a company, but the conversation quickly turned to a wide range of topics, from how shipping is becoming greener than it is today, to the need for an expansion of route 22 to a motorway, to the rules for dredging seabed material.

Business representatives from many different professions and industries came up with a number of exciting and interesting questions and comments for the politicians. In other words, the assembly had a lot of good input on which business policy issues the politicians should fight for in the future – now that the expansion of route 23 to a motorway has finally been decided.
