Port of Kalundborg gets new operational manager

As of April 1, Max-Peter Matthäi, 35, has been hired as the new Operations Manager at the Port of Kalundborg. Max-Peter has extensive experience in the port world and comes directly from a position as Operations Manager at Copenhagen-Malmö Port.

Max-Peter originally comes from Thorupstrand in Northwest Jutland. Here he started his maritime career fishing out of Thorupstrand and Hanstholm. However, the fishing boats were not enough for Max-Peter, who subsequently trained as a master from Marstal Navigation School. After that, he sailed for Maersk Supply Service in the North Sea and West Africa.

For the past seven years, Max-Peter has worked for Copenhagen-Malmö Port (CMP), where he first worked as a Supervisor and then as Operations Manager.

In addition to his maritime background, Max-Peter also has a management education from DI and is currently pursuing a diploma in Operation and Supply Chain Management.

Max-Peter is pleased to have joined a growing port with great future potential. At the same time, we look forward to benefiting from Max-Peter's extensive knowledge and experience within port operations.
